Camera Upgrade - Complete

For the past couple of years, I've been shooting with the Canon Rebel XS.  A great entry level DSLR camera.  But as I've gone further down the path getting back into photography, I've wanted something better. Yesterday I picked up the Canon Rebel T3i.  An 18MP gem.  As I still have some getting used to how all the settings work on the camera, I had a good start on it today in Chagrin Falls, OH.  I'm looking forward to a sunny day though, but gray and cloudy has it's uses too.

Celebrate with fire!

Yesterday we went to our friends Joel and Shannon's house to celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary.   And like all good celebrations, you want to do it right.  And as what has become a custom there, things explode and sky lanterns are set off into the night sky.  Always a good time.
Congratulations on 22 years of wedded bliss you two.

Friday Evening in Zoar

It never goes 100% the way you hope at times.  On Thursday night, it was crystal clear out. A bright, almost full moon, filled the sky.  All of Friday appeared that it was going to be a carbon copy.  That was until the clouds started moving in around sunset.  Still, I made the best of it, I think.

Doors

Wanted to redo some of the shots I got last night.  Am happy with the outcome.
