Fort Laurens 2010 Redux

I got a little bored tonight and decided to double back on some of the things I've worked on before....and rework them.  Tonight, it's the Revolution on the Tuscarawas event from 2010.   Again, if you live in Northeast Ohio and have never been to Fort Laurens in Bolivar, you need to check it out.  It really is a bit of the American Revolutionary War right in our backyard.

Best of: Zoar Civil War Reenactment 2011

I took a LOT of pictures last week.  I mean a LOT.  Too many to really sit through and enjoy.  So, I did that for you!   Here is a link to what I consider is some of the best ones I took from the weekend.  Enjoy!

Saturday in the park

So we took a break from reenactment photos this weekend and got out to enjoy the early fall weather. Of course, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is *the* place to enjoy it at in Northeast Ohio. Just a couple more weeks and the colors should be just right.

The 2011 Battle on the Ohio-Erie Canal Event : The reenactment of First Manassas/Bull Run

I've seen several Civil War reenactment events over the years.  But I have to say that this portrayal of an event was likely the best I have seen.  It truly was an awesome event.  Adding to the authenticity is the individual that portrays Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. He just looks the part 100%.   Thank you to all the living historians that take time out of their lives to share with us the stories of 150 years ago.  Well done!

The 2011 Battle on the Ohio-Erie Canal Event : Sunday Morning

Sadly, Sunday came too fast. The last day of the event, but at least the weather was picture perfect.
