The other night, we went down to Dover to watch our daughter march with her middle school band in the annual Halloween Parade. I've been to Dover thousands of times in the past 13 years I've lived in Tuscarawas County. It wasn't until the other night that I started to notice "things". I'm thinking Downtown Dover is going to be the next project on the photo blog. Stay tuned!

Once more into the Ansel state of mind
Knowing that my window of clear skies are limited this week, I made may way to the Zoar Levee to try and get some images of the Moon rising over the town. Not know where the moon was coming up, I made my way up and down the levee trying to find the right spot.
I know it looks like I edited the moon to make it appear larger, but that's actually a result of using a zoom lens from a distance.

My Ansel Adams-ish moments tonight
I've been trying to capture to moon rising over a certain area by where I live for a couple years now. I finally caught it tonight.

The National Park that's up the road.
One of the sometimes overlooked gems of Northeast Ohio is the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It's a place that I spent a LOT of time at when I was a teenager hiking around and taking pictures with dreams of becoming the next Ansel Adams. But these days, we only seem to make it up there one a year and it's usually around this time to catch the fall colors.

It's October!
So why not showcase some images taken in Salem, Massachusetts? Back in March I was in nearby Burlington attending some training and after class one day I drove up. Neat place.

Stone Gardens
It was a perfect cold, cloudy and breezy fall day so Denise and I went exploring. We've always wanted to go check out this old cemetery over by Atwood Lake called Big Spring. Really cool old place. Also, supposedly very haunted, but that's a story for another blog.

Another evening in Zoar
Another evening around Zoar. Such a beautiful town.
And with these, I couldn't decide which one I liked better
