My Christmas mood this year was lacking. Guess that is just something that happens when you get older. But I found the cure. This past weekend, we went to see Tuba Christmas at EJ Thomas Hall in Akron. Our close friend Craig was one of the performers. If you have never experienced Christmas carols and other standards all done by tuba, then you are missing something. Really put me in the mode for Christmas.
Merry Christmas, everybody! (Video at the bottom!)
Today was this years Christmas in Zoar, which is always a great time. Browsing the shops, seeing the crafts and getting into that Christmas spirit. But...it was sunny and in the 50's today. Not that I'm complaining. Was a beautiful day spent with my girls.
Today's plan started off with me working from home so that I could attend a meeting with my son at his school. After seeing how the days weather was turning out, that quickly changed. A vacation day was in order! The 8th of November and near 70 degrees with clear blue skies. Ferris Bueller's voice was echoing through my head. I think it was well worth it.
Couldn't pass up the opportunity on Sunday. Pretty happy with the results. Note: no manipulation of the moon was done to make it look larger. This was all done with the assistance of my zoom lens.
Wasn't a real "serious" day of taking pictures. Today was more about just having a fun day with my wife and kids. But of course, the camera came along. Glad it did. Always a beautiful view from Mt. Washington.
