A walk in the Park - CVNP 10/21/2012

We decided to head up to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park today to explore the Blue Hen Falls area.  If you have never been there, I highly recommend it.  Back in my post high school days, I went out there several times to explore. Situated behind and actually between the Boston Mills Ski Resort, the falls are an accessible area, but, can be a little bit of a tricky hike if you go past the Blue Hen Falls.  You see, past Blue Hen is another waterfall called Buttermilk Falls which is actually much more impressive to see.  But, your feet will likely get wet crossing over the stream several times to get to the falls.  Funny thing is, I don't remember the hike back to that area being that hard.  But my 43 year old knees are feeling it tonight. I would like to try to find out some of the history of the area.  Just before we got to Buttermilk Falls, we came across some old ruins of some type.  Probably an old mill or something, but would still be neat to find out.  Here's some images of a beautiful fall day at the falls.
